Reconstructing & Reimagining the Lost Walls & Gates of my hometown 老北京的城门与城墙.
Beijing’s walls and gates were all demolished in last century, during the re-planning of Beijing as a capital city for PRC.
Architect Lin Huiyin and Liang Sicheng once proposed to have the walls & gates as a park & community space surrounding the city. What if we still have the city today? How are we gathering there as a community space?
